It's true what other reviewers said--the earflaps don't provide much warmth, they keep only your ear-tips protected. But the rest of the hat is very warm and pretty comfortable. Amazon shoppers have wondered if this hat would fit a woman and yes, it fits me and I love the way that it looks. I have a 22in. head and got the medium which fits perfectly, just snug enough that it has not blown off my head. I opted for this one (men's version) over the women's Yukon since I like the look/shape of this one more. The folding brim is an awesome feature which I take advantage of often when I stuff the hat in my backpack at my destination. Before purchasing I had wondered if the brim would start to lose its shape or look weird since its "foldable," but it always "bounces back" after folding and you can't actually tell that it has the folding feature. The brim itself is very sturdy, I believe it's thick plastic as opposed to cardboard. It is a very well-made hat, high quality. I live in the Chicago area (and take public transportation) and so far this hat has been sufficient for the fall and early winter but I will have to get a warmer hat for the extreme wind and cold to come (since these earflaps don't do the trick). People have been telling me this is an Elmer Fudd hat or that I look like I'm going hunting...but I truly love how this hat looks.
